| Nakamura Takes Chainsaw to Sapporo Bats in 4-0 Win | The umbrellas came out during the Yokohama-Sapporo contest at Kanagawa Stadium.
Yokohama Kingfishers starter Kiyoji Nakamura pitched a strong game against the Sapporo Bears at Kanagawa Stadium, leading the Kingfishers to victory, 4-0. Yokohama, at 43-61, holds down 5th place in the Eastern League.
Nakamura subdued the Sapporo offense. The Yokohama right-hander allowed a mere 4 hits over 8 innings, while fanning 12. His season record goes to 9-9 with the win.
"Kiyoji was lights-out," said Sapporo manager Ritsuo Yoshida.
