| Denki Upended, 6-1, by Rakisuta | The Rakisuta Rams stymied the Denki Dynamics, 6-1, at Kanda Stadium. Hideharu Nomura had a good day at the plate. He went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Rakisuta. Sadato Hayakawa nailed down his 17th save. Rakisuta is now 50-53. Denki is 55-49.
With Rakisuta leading 2-1 in the top of the ninth, Nomura came up to bat against Denki pitcher Shinichi Kanehara. Nomura hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 26th home run of the season put the Rams on top, 6-1.
Nomura said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
