| Late Offense Lifts Hosho to 3-2 Victory | The Hosho Reliables and Denki Dynamics played an exciting game.
The Hosho Reliables picked up a win at Kanda Stadium, topping the Denki Dynamics, 3-2. On the mound for Hosho was right-hander Naruto Noda. He played a principal role in the triumph. Noda yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 9-7.
Hosho used the timely hitting of Akitoshi Yamane to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Reliables on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"All my pitches were working," said Noda. "They were all synchronized together in attacking the zone."
The first-place Reliables, at 63-40, lead the Eastern League by 5 games.
