| Reliables Reel Off Another Win | Daijiro Nakamura knocked in 4 runs to help Hosho beat Yokohama, 7-5. Nakamura produced 1 single and 1 home run. Picking up the win was Naruto Noda. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 4. Kiyohiko Takara earned the save, his 1st in 1 tries.
With Hosho trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, Nakamura hit a 2-run single off Yokohama hurler NorogumiOda Tominaga. It was the 82nd hit of the season for Nakamura and put his team ahead, 5-4.
"It's fun to come to the yard every day when you're winning," said Hosho manager Shun Kawamura.
Hosho has now won 8 games in a row.
