| Rams Win, 4-1, at Yokohama | The Rakisuta Rams picked up a win at Kanagawa Stadium, knocking off the Yokohama Kingfishers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Yamada Yamanaka played a key role in the triumph. Genya Ishii recorded the save for Rakisuta, his 10th of the season. The loss makes Yokohama 56-37.
Gou Kawamoto, who finished 2nd in the EL in doubles with 40 in 1956, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kawamoto contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Rakisuta up, 3-0.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Yamanaka told the Rakisuta Chronicle. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
