| Kingfishers Notch 5-2 Win Versus Dynamics | The Yokohama Kingfishers locked up a win at Kanda Stadium, knocking off the Denki Dynamics, 5-2. On the mound for Yokohama was right-hander Shigeyasu Hirayama. He played a major role in the triumph. Minao Akagi earned the save for Yokohama, his 4th of the year. With the win, the Kingfishers improved to 47-42.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Fujimaro Sonoda? The former first round draft pick Sonoda stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Yokohama up, 5-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Hirayama.
