| Rams Rally to Beat Reliables, 3-2 | The Rakisuta Rams, despite a fine performance by Hosho pitcher Shinki Kimura, grabbed a 3-2 win at Nagoya Minami Stadium. Kimura allowed no runs over 6 innings. Kisaku Arita picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 11 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 11-4. Genya Ishii was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 11 save opportunities.
Rakisuta needed the clutch hitting of Sukeichi Onodera to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rams on top, 3-2. For the game, Onodera had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Hosho manager Shun Kawamura. "We just didn't cash in."
Rakisuta has now won 4 games in a row.
