| Hosho Topples Rakisuta, 2-0 | The Hosho Reliables and Rakisuta Rams completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Billy McCullough, the Hosho Reliables defeated the Rakisuta Rams, 2-0. McCullough was 2-4 with a home run for the Reliables. Motomu Taira locked down his 28th save.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Reliables had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when pinch hitter Tenmu Kurosawa hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Masayoshi Murata and made the score 1-0, Reliables. Kurosawa was 1 for 1.
Kurosawa told a Hosho Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
Hosho is now 58-36, 5½ games up in the Eastern League.
