Kingfishers Trip Dynamics, 6-5, in Extra Innings
Yokohama and Denki took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Yokohama Kingfishers withstood a fine game by Denki left fielder Ikuo Muramoto at Kanda Stadium, to upend the Dynamics, 6-5. Muramoto was 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Chosuke Tsugawa earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-0.

In the top of the 11th, Yokohama got a clutch hit from Masanori Takagi. The left fielder belted a solo home run, putting the Kingfishers up, 6-5. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a decisive one.

"I did what I could," said Takagi. "But like I tell my teammates, 'I can only do so much myself.'"

The last-place Kingfishers go to 37-59.
