| Rams Beat Yokohama, 2-1 | Rakisuta Stadium played host to some high drama.
Rakisuta got a first-rate effort from pitcher Masakado Matsuda, who frustrated Yokohama hitters en route to a 2-1 Rams triumph at Rakisuta Stadium. The Rams saw their win-loss record go to 34-41. At the same time, the Kingfishers fell to 51-31.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Rakisuta pinch hitter Kannon Yamamoto, facing Hirotsugu Sasaki, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Rams the 2-1 win.
"Masakado gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Rakisuta skipper Bob Lester.
