| Owls Win at Denki, 3-2 | Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Kyoto Owls got the win.
The Kyoto Owls picked up a win at Kanda Stadium, taking down the Denki Dynamics, 3-2. Starting pitcher Isoroku Furuta was a big reason why. Toshimasa Kobayashi, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.
Kyoto used the hitting of Katsuki Taira to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Owls on top, 2-0. For the game, Taira had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was a hard game, a hard night," said Denki skipper Tadashi Iwamoto.
The 5th-place Owls now sit at 39-39.
