| Rakisuta Loses, 6-3, in 10 | The Kyoto Owls outlasted the Rakisuta Rams, 6-3, in 10 innings. Kinmochi Yamamoto provided some punch at the plate for Kyoto. He was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Kyoto reliever Seishiro Kikuchi was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Gunji Matsuda. Kyoto now sits at 46-39, while Rakisuta falls to 40-45.
Kyoto got a knockout punch from Bungo Arai. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"We're producers not directors," said Yamamoto. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
