Shigeyoshi Taira, who finished 4th in the EL in saves with 15 in 1971, had a strong outing for the Rakisuta Rams against the Kyoto Owls at Owls Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Taira picked up the win for Rakisuta, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 10 hits. He now sports a record of 7-6.
