The Hosho Reliables defeated the Rakisuta Rams, 14-9. Second Baseman Tenmu Kurosawa deserved a large share of the credit. Kurosawa went 1 for 1 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Reliables. Hosho reliever Haruo Kawamoto snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Gunji Matsuda shouldered the loss. Hosho improves to 53-29 with the win. They lead their division by 8½ games.

Emori Ryu helped out the Hosho cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs.

"I was able to square up some pitches," said Kurosawa.
