| Rams Trounce Reliables, 10-2 | The Rakisuta Rams picked up a win at Rakisuta Stadium, dropping the Hosho Reliables, 10-2. Kinichi Harada, who finished 3rd in the EL in ERA with 3.23 in 1971, was the difference-maker. Rakisuta is 39-43 and Hosho, with the loss, 52-29.
Shouta Fukushima, who led the EL in hits with 168 last year, helped out the Rakisuta cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman was 3-4 with 2 doubles.
"Kinichi was Kinichi," said Rams manager Kinzo Yoshimura. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
