| Kingfishers Score Late to Win, 5-4 | Yokohama registered a win at Kanagawa Stadium by beating the Denki Dynamics, 5-4. Pitcher Meguru Kanda was one reason why the Kingfishers triumphed. Yokohama, at 28-51, holds down last place in the Eastern League.
Yokohama pinch hitter Masanori Takagi helped the Kingfishers go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the eighth inning. With the game tied, Takagi hit a run-scoring single off Denki pitcher Tatsunori Tanoue.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Kanda.
