| Yokohama Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win | Rakisuta got a big-time effort from pitcher Juro Esaki, but it wasn't enough to keep the Yokohama Kingfishers from winning the game, 6-4. Esaki threw 8.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Zenzo Watanabe picked up the win in relief for Yokohama, while Koji Fujimoto took the loss. At 32-47, the Kingfishers are currently 5th in the Eastern League.
Yokohama got a clutch hit from Katsuki Kagawa. The pinch hitter launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
Yokohama manager Johnny Ruby commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
