Rams Rally to Eke Out Win
The Rakisuta Rams battled the Yokohama Kingfishers into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Rams won it, finally, 8-7, in 11 innings. In the game, Rakisuta center fielder Ryunosuke Onishi hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Rakisuta reliever Satoshi Yamashita picked up the win to move to 1-0. Wei-Tzu Otsuki suffered the loss. After today's action, Rakisuta sits at 38-41, while Yokohama falls to 31-47.

Shigenobu Nakayama came through with a big-time hit for Rakisuta. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 8-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Rams manager Kinzo Yoshimura wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
