| Tight Tilt Goes to Reliables, 2-1 | Starting Pitcher Shihei Saito was lights out, as the Hosho Reliables beat the Denki Dynamics, 2-1. Saito picked up the win for Hosho, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 10-5. Motomu Taira earned the save for Hosho, his 26th of the year.
Billy McCullough came through with a big-time hit for Hosho. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"That's baseball," said Denki manager Carl Johnson. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
The first-place Reliables have won 5 consecutive games.
