The skies opened up and the rain fell at Kanda Stadium.

Despite a fine performance by shortstop Isao Sakata, the Denki Dynamics lost to the Hosho Reliables, 5-4, in 10 innings. Sakata went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Hosho.

Hosho used the timely hitting of Emori Ryu to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Reliables on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It took some doing, but we got what we came for," said Reliables manager Shun Kawamura.
