| Dynamics Down Rams, 4-3 | The Rakisuta Rams could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Kinichi Harada into a win. Instead, the Denki Dynamics prevailed, 4-3, in 10 innings. Harada threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Denki reliever Atsumi Shibata, who leads the EL in holds with 5, was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-3. Yoshimatsu Shiina took the loss for Rakisuta. Tatsunori Tanoue notched his 16th save in 20 chances.
Denki used the timely hitting of Sukeichi Jimbo to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Dynamics on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Dynamics manager Carl Johnson.
The win gives Denki a season record of 44-32.
