The Denki Dynamics defeated the Hosho Reliables, 3-1, in Eastern League action at Kanda Stadium. Denki pitcher Tekkan Mihara had a standout performance. Mihara, now 5-4, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Dynamics improved their record to 38-34 with the win over Hosho.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Jin Kaji in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a 2-run home run off seven-time All-Star Motomu Taira to win it for Denki and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"We took home the win," said Kaji. "What's not to like?"
