In the bottom of the seventh, Kyoto left fielder Naonobu Nishio had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 3rd and one out, Nishio stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 4-0, Kyoto. For the game, he went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Nishio told the Kyoto Today.
