| Nakamura Shines in 5-2 Rakisuta Win | The Rakisuta Rams got a rain-soaked win over the Yokohama Kingfishers.
The Rakisuta Rams defeated the Yokohama Kingfishers, 5-2. Doing his part was first baseman Motokuni Nakamura, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Juro Esaki. He tossed 103 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits.
Nakamura contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Rakisuta in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Nakamura took a splitter from Bill Sauerwein and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Rams to leap in front, 2-1.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Nakamura, "and then get after it again."
Rakisuta is now 31-37.
