| Rams Deal Hosho 5-2 Defeat | The Rakisuta Rams and Hosho Reliables completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Hosho wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Takashi Masuda, falling to the Rakisuta Rams, 5-2. Masuda threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. Juro Esaki got credit for the win, improving to 4-7. He allowed 2 runs on 9 hits in 7 innings.
Go Yagi came through for Rakisuta when he hit a 2-run single in the top of the fifth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike cutter to left field, staking his team to a 3-1 lead.
"Different night, same tune, unfortunately," said losing manager Shun Kawamura.
The current losing streak for Hosho has reached 7 games.
