| Dynamics Stop Bears, 3-2 | Not everyone stuck through the 26-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Though he had a terrific game, Masao Shiotani could not prevent his team, the Sapporo Bears, from absorbing a loss. Denki won the game, 3-2. Shiotani was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Takehiro Moriyama earned the win for Denki. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 6-3. Picking up his 6th save was two-time All-Star Tatsunori Tanoue.
In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie, Denki third baseman Yodo Otsuki reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Denki on top, 2-1.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Otsuki told the Denki Gazette.
The Dynamics sit in third place in the Eastern League with a record of 34-29.
