The Kyoto Owls picked up a win at Kanda Stadium, dropping the Denki Dynamics, 4-3. Tsugunosuke Takeuchi, who is tied for 10th in the EL in holds with 1, was the difference-maker. Takeuchi picked up the win for Kyoto, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Naizen Sano was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.
Kyoto used the clutch hitting of Kinmochi Yamamoto to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Owls the lead, 4-1. For the game, Yamamoto had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
