| Reliables Beat Bears, 6-2 | Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Hosho Reliables and Sapporo Bears.
The Hosho Reliables downed the Sapporo Bears, 6-2. The hitting star was third baseman Billy McCullough. McCullough was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Reliables. The first-place Reliables bumped their record to 37-16.
Early in the game, McCullough had a grand slam home run for Hosho. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Reliables on top, 4-1.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Hosho skipper Shun Kawamura. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
