| Kingfishers Pick Up 5-2 Win | The umbrellas came out during the Yokohama-Rakisuta contest at Rakisuta Stadium.
Starting pitcher Munenao Shintani was a major factor in the 5-2 Yokohama Kingfishers triumph over the Rakisuta Rams. Shintani, now 7-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs.
It could have been a different outcome for Yokohama, had it not been for Katsuaki Ishikawa, the 23-year old center fielder . Ishikawa contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Yokohama up, 5-2.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Ishikawa.
The Kingfishers raised their record to 31-51.
