| Rams Slip Past Reliables, 6-2 | The Hosho Reliables went down to defeat to Sadato Hayakawa and his Rakisuta teammates. The final score was 6-2, in favor of the Rams. The Rams now own a record of 18-21.
The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Tsuguhiro Hashiguchi came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Hosho pitcher Kinichi Ota, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Rakisuta on top, 3-2.
"Sadato was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Rakisuta manager Bob Lester.
