Hosho turned a good performance from starting pitcher Shihei Saito into a 2-0 triumph over the Rakisuta Rams at Rakisuta Stadium. Saito, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Hosho bumps their record to 36-15 with the win.

The Reliables had to work out of trouble with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Hosho. But Rakisuta, with the bases empty, had mounted a threat. Go Yagi dug in at the plate. But on a 1-1 fastball, Yagi grounded out.
