| Reliables, Hirata Pin Bad Loss on Dynamics | A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Hosho Reliables and Denki Dynamics.
The Hosho Reliables coasted to a win over the Denki Dynamics, 10-0. Yamahiko Hirata had a good day at the plate for Hosho. He went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Eichiro Ueno picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-3 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 1 in 6 innings, while yielding no runs.
Hank Dunham, the Hosho left fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to make the score 3-0, Reliables. For the game, Dunham was 1-2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Hirata told the Hosho Citizen. "Whatever it takes."
So far in 1963, Hosho is 24-21.
