| Dynamics Victorious at Rakisuta, 5-4 | The Denki Dynamics beat the Rakisuta Rams, 5-4, in part because of third baseman Tsutomu Takahashi. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Tekkan Mihara, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-4. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 10 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Yoshiharu Miyagi recorded the save for Denki, his 2nd of the season.
Jin Kaji, who finished 2nd in the EL in doubles with 26 in 1973, helped out the Denki cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Kaji. "You've got to get results."
The triumph puts Denki at 22-22 for the season.
