| Tomita Now 6-0 Following 3-0 Win | The umbrellas came out during the Kyoto-Hosho contest at Nagoya Minami Stadium.
In a well-pitched game between the Kyoto Owls and the Hosho Reliables, pitcher Ukita Tomita was superb. The Kyoto right-hander helped his team win, 3-0. Kenshin Kon recorded the save for Kyoto, his 10th of the season.
Tomita delivered a quality start for Kyoto. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 7.1 innings of work.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Kyoto manager Tomoya Nagao.
With the win, Kyoto raised its record to 25-19.
