| Dynamics Earn 2-1 Win Versus Reliables | Denki turned a fine outing from starter Tsuneari Nakai into a victory over the Hosho Reliables at Kanda Stadium. The final score was 2-1. Denki pitcher Shinichi Kanehara got the win. He's now 1-1. Junya Yamagata was tagged with the loss. The third-place Dynamics have a record of 22-19.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Denki. That's when Ikuo Muramoto, who led the EL in hits with 143 in 1968, hit a run-scoring double off Junya Yamagata to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"This one wasn't over until it was over," Nakai said, postgame.
