| Reliables Post 7-4 Win | Reliables center fielder Akitoshi Yamane put his stamp on his team's 7-4 win over the Rakisuta Rams. Yamane went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Hosho in the contest. Fumimaro Yamauchi earned the win to go to 2-1. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Motomu Taira earned the save, his 3rd, for the Reliables.
There was more than one reason the Reliables beat the Rams, but Yamane's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
Yamane told a Hosho News reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
With the win, the Reliables have a record of 23-12.
