| Down to Defeat Goes Hosho, 4-1 | Kyoto used a superb performance from starting pitcher Ukita Tomita to down the Hosho Reliables, 4-1. Hosho falls to 10-6.
The Owls got a big at-bat from shortstop Bungo Arai. For the game, Arai was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Kyoto a 3-0 lead.
