Reynolds Finds Groove in 4-1 Triumph
Philadelphia starter George Reynolds put a stranglehold on the New York offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Sailors to a 4-1 win. The losing streak for New York has now reached 4 games.

Reynolds, who dominated for Philadelphia, earned the victory to move to 1-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 3. New York batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said New York manager Ken Tannen.
