In a sharp 3-hit performance, Dick Bassett led the Portland Foresters to a shutout victory, 7-0, over the Seattle Warriors, fanning 3 and walking 0.

"That's as good of stuff as I've seen in a long time," Seattle manager Morgan Lewis said in a postgame interview.
