| Warriors, Carver Blank Tacoma, 2-0 | In an outstanding mound performance, Seattle Warriors starter Charlie Carver fired a complete-game shutout against the Tacoma Browns at Pacific Avenue Field.
Carver was the key to the 2-0 Seattle win. The 24-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 3 hits and 3 walks he allowed.
"3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
To this point in the season Carver has 2 wins and 3 losses and a 2.14 ERA. | |
