| Warriors Not Competitive in 7-0 Loss to Oakland | It wasn't easy but the Oakland Acorns made it look that way.
Starter Ed Geise shut out the Seattle Warriors despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Oakland Acorns cruised to victory, 7-0. Geise allowed only 3 hits and rang up 5 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
In 5 starts this season, Geise has gathered 3 wins while suffering no losses. He has pitched 54 innings, allowed 42 hits, struck out 23 and has a 0.83 ERA. | |
