Overbey Superb Against San Francisco
The Tacoma Browns did little to support starter Wild Bill Overbey against the San Francisco Miners, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Miners, striking out 6 and surrendering 2 hits. The performance from Overbey allowed Tacoma to escape with the 1-0 win, despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said, 'Wild Bill, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Overbey told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
