The New York Stars topped the Boston Beacons, 7-5, at Beacon Park. New York right fielder Frank Dowling was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Beals Werth had a big 2-run double for the Stars in the top of the first inning.
