| Eagles Stymied by Copperheads, Kotarski | Atlanta Copperheads starter Jack Kotarski had all his pitches working at Columbia Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-0 Atlanta win over the Washington Eagles. Atlanta improves to 61-22 with the win. They lead their division by 19½ games.
Kotarski delivered a quality start for Atlanta. The 5-foot-10 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
