Cannons Win at Toronto, 4-2
Cincinnati picked up a win at Dominion Stadium, bumping off the Toronto Wolves, 4-2. Pitcher Jim York was a major reason the Cannons emerged victorious. York, now 3-4, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Picking up his 11th save was 33-year old right-handed pitcher Paul Williams.

Bonnie Chapin, who is tied for 7th in the CA in extra base hits with 21, had a direct impact on the outcome. Chapin contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Cincinnati up, 3-0.

"My job is to go out and execute," said York.

Cincinnati raised its record to 24-22 with the win.
