Minutemen Top Clippers, 3-2
Starting pitcher Johnny Hall gave the Boston Minutemen a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the Baltimore Clippers, 3-2, in 15 innings. Boston, now 30-50, holds down 5th place in the Federal Association East.

The decisive blow was delivered by Bob Menz in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a solo home run off 39-year old left-handed pitcher Bobby Carr to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

Menz said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
