Starting pitcher Bob Scott gave the Boston Minutemen a rock-solid effort. The Virginia, Minnesota native helped his team defeat the Baltimore Clippers, 3-2, at Minuteman Stadium. Today's win puts Boston at 29-50, while Baltimore falls to 41-41.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Boston third baseman Frank Borgen, facing Stan Boone, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Minutemen the 3-2 win.

Borgen said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
