The Detroit Dynamos defeated the Houston Comets, 6-4, in part because of third baseman George Crain. Crain was 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Dynamos. Dick Butler finished to wrap up his 8th save. The Dynamos have now won 4 straight.

With Detroit leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Crain hit a curveball from Spencer Reese for a run-scoring triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Dynamos ahead, 3-0.
