The St. Louis Pioneers defeated the Philadelphia Keystones, 7-4, at Broad Street Park II today. Leading the charge for St. Louis was left fielder Larry Gregory. He was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The 6th-place Pioneers lifted their record to 55-66.

St. Louis used a clutch hit from Al Monroe to get the win. The second baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Pioneers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Monroe.
