Miners Take Tight Tangle | Pittsburgh Miners starter Stan Davis turned in an exceptional performance against the Washington Eagles at Fitzpatrick Park, resulting in a Pittsburgh win, 2-1. The Miners bumped their record to 54-41 with this latest triumph.
The most significant at-bat for Pittsburgh came with the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth. Miners second baseman Dixie Turner hit a double to win the game.
