Chiefs Win with Late Rally
Chicago starter Larry Barker pitched well against the Minneapolis Millers at Whitney Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-5. The 5th-place Chiefs now have a record of 32-50.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Harry McDaniel in the bottom of the 13th. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Pratt to win it for Chicago and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

McDaniel said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
